Terms of Service

These terms govern your use of mysite-name's automotive repair and servicing services across England. Please read them carefully before booking any services to ensure a clear understanding of our operations, customer responsibilities, and the vehicle repair process.

1. Service Agreement

By booking services with mysite-name—whether through our website, telephone, or in-person—you agree to these terms. Our automotive services operate in compliance with relevant UK automotive industry standards and safety regulations.

We provide professional vehicle repair, maintenance, and diagnostics through our qualified technicians across England, addressing various automotive needs from routine servicing to complex mechanical repairs.

2. Service Scope and Quality Standards

Our services include vehicle diagnostics, mechanical repairs, routine maintenance, MOT testing, and emergency repairs. We focus on providing reliable, quality workmanship using appropriate tools and quality parts to ensure your vehicle's safety and performance.

While we provide expert diagnostics and repair services, the longevity and performance of repairs can be affected by various factors including vehicle age, driving conditions, and maintenance habits.

3. Customer Responsibilities

To ensure efficient service and safety, customers agree to:

  • Provide accurate vehicle information and service history
  • Disclose any known vehicle issues or recent repairs
  • Remove personal belongings from the vehicle before service
  • Provide access to vehicle keys and security information
  • Communicate any time constraints or specific requirements

Clear communication and preparation help us provide the most efficient and effective service for your vehicle.

4. Vehicle Assessment and Diagnostics

All vehicles undergo initial assessment and diagnostics to identify issues accurately. We provide detailed explanations of required repairs with transparent pricing before commencing work. You have the right to approve or decline any recommended repairs.

Diagnostic fees may apply if you choose not to proceed with recommended repairs, though this fee is typically waived if repairs are completed with us.

5. Vehicle Safety and Liability

Automotive repair involves working with complex systems and carries inherent risks. We take all reasonable precautions to ensure work is performed safely and to industry standards.

We maintain appropriate liability insurance but cannot accept responsibility for pre-existing conditions or issues unrelated to the work we have performed.

6. Appointment and Service Times

We provide estimated completion times for services, but these may change due to parts availability, unexpected complexities, or workshop workload. We will keep you informed of any significant delays to your vehicle's completion time.

While we strive for punctual service completion, complex repairs may require additional time to ensure quality workmanship.

7. Payment Terms and Fees

Service fees are payable upon vehicle collection unless prior credit arrangements have been agreed. We accept various payment methods including cash, card payments, and bank transfers.

Storage fees may apply for vehicles left uncollected for more than 3 business days after completion notification. Repeated late payments may require pre-payment for future services.

8. Cancellation and Refund Policy

Appointments may be cancelled or rescheduled without charge with at least 24 hours' notice. Late cancellations may incur a diagnostic fee if workshop time has been allocated specifically for your vehicle.

Refunds for completed work are assessed on a case-by-case basis and require demonstration that the work was not performed to agreed standards. Parts refunds are subject to supplier policies and restocking fees.

9. Warranty on Workmanship and Parts

We provide warranties on both workmanship and parts as specified in your service agreement. Warranty terms vary depending on the type of repair and parts used, and will be clearly outlined in your service documentation.

Warranty claims must be presented promptly and may require inspection to determine the cause of failure. Warranties do not cover issues resulting from accidents, misuse, or unrelated component failures.

10. Technician Qualifications and Specialisation

Our technicians possess relevant automotive qualifications and receive ongoing training. They specialise in different vehicle systems and manufacturers to provide expert care for your specific vehicle needs.

While we aim for consistent technician assignments, complex repairs may involve multiple specialists to ensure comprehensive service quality.

11. Parts and Components

We use quality parts from reputable suppliers, offering options from OEM to quality aftermarket components depending on your preference and budget. All parts used are documented in your service records.

Parts availability may affect repair timelines, and we will consult with you regarding any significant delays or alternative options.

12. Vehicle Storage and Security

We provide secure storage for vehicles during service periods but cannot accept responsibility for damage from circumstances beyond our reasonable control. We recommend removing valuables from your vehicle before service.

Vehicles uncollected for more than 30 days may be subject to storage fees and ultimately dealt with according to relevant legislation regarding abandoned vehicles.

13. Test Drives and Vehicle Operation

Test drives may be necessary to diagnose issues or verify repair quality. By agreeing to our services, you consent to necessary test drives by our qualified staff for diagnostic and quality assurance purposes.

All test drives are conducted responsibly and recorded in your service documentation with mileage noted.

14. Complaints and Resolution

We aim for complete customer satisfaction with our automotive services. If you have concerns about any aspect of our service, please notify us promptly. We will address legitimate concerns through our established resolution process.

Complaints should be directed to our workshop manager for proper documentation and timely resolution, preferably within 14 days of service completion.

15. Terms Modification

We reserve the right to update these terms periodically to reflect changes in our services, UK regulations, or industry practices. The current terms are always available on our website, and continued use of our services constitutes acceptance of any updates.
